How-to · Crew Decision Flow

Use groups and polls so decisions actually close.

This guide maps the effective flow from group creation through poll setup to pinned final decision. Goal: less friction, less endless debate, faster movement into real venue choices.

Input: short shortlist
Decision: explicit poll rule
Output: pinned final plan

Step 1

Set up the group correctly.

01

Create group with clear purpose

Set name/context so everyone understands which night or decision this group is for.

02

Invite intentionally, not broadly

Include only relevant participants. Oversized groups slow down commitment.

03

Keep shortlist to 3-5 options

Long option lists directly increase decision fatigue.

Step 2

Choose poll mode deliberately.

Mode Best use case Risk
Single Vote Fast final choice Can feel polarizing if options are close
Multi Vote Preference mapping when direction is unclear Can delay closure without a follow-up cut
Lock Once When vote edits should be prevented Misclicks become hard to recover
Custom Option If new options must remain possible Can break shortlist focus
Step 3

Close the poll into a final plan immediately.

  1. Mark/pin the winning option as final plan.
  2. Share deeplink in group chat right away.
  3. Optional backup is fine, but avoid restarting debate loops.
Impact rule: groups do not win by more discussion. They win with better decision architecture. Limit shortlist, set poll rule, pin result.
